Arab Drilling &
Workover Company (ADWOC)
was established in 1980 and is one
of the leading oil and gas onshore contract drilling and
workover companies in Libya and Syria .
The Company owns and operates a highly mobile fleet of nine
drilling and five workover rigs ranging on the drilling side
from 550 to 2000 horsepower and 300 to 475 horsepower for the
workover rigs.
Our rigs have been contracted to a diverse number of
operators: TotalFinaElf Syria, Al Furat Petroleum Co Syria,
AGOCO, Agip Gas BV, Veba Oil Operations, Sirte Oil Co, Waha
Oil Co, Zuetina Oil Co, Wintershall Libya, Lasmo Grand
Maghreb, Agip Oil Co, International Petroleum Libya Ltd,
REMSA, OMV and Repsol Oil Operations.

All our rigs are designed for operation in distant desert
environments and equipped with all the necessary amenities,
spare parts and infrastructure support for living and
conducting operations in remote locations. The majority of our
drilling and workover rigs are outfitted with moving gear and
compartmentalized on skids thereby minimizing moving time and
rig assembly between well locations.
In support of our operations, we maintain a fleet of heavy
duty transport and lifting equipment including transport
trucks, cranes, forklifts and associated repair facilities as
we maintain and service all our own equipment.
In addition to our rig fleet, ADWOC provides related
oilfield services and is the leading supplier in Libya of
machine shop and inspection services. As well, ADWOC maintains
an extensive supply of rental equipment such as jars, shock
tools, drill pipe and collars and other.

projects through cautious yet sustained growth while always
looking for the ways and means to improve our operations.
